My 72 Inch screen and the Samsung BDP 1500 Blu Ray at work

Well finally got down to test the screen and the projector and of course my lovely Blu ray player. Unfortunately, i wasnt able to get hold of a Blu Ray movie disc yet! but nevertheless, i manage to pull out one of my old DVD collection and just wanted to see what the whole Upscaling to 1080p was all about.

Lot of hype and people talking about upscaling to High Def (1080p), but i had to see if for myself. Well i was really impressed with the result. Gosh, i think it looked even better than Pioneer's 52 inch Plasma TV. I was amazed! the color was superb, clarity was astonishing, and yet this was just a DVD movie.. not even a Blu ray yet! Can't Wait for my '300' movie in blu ray to arrive.

Gosh! it sure beats lining up at GSC or TGV, paying RM10 just to watch a movie. suffering with the front person laughing or talking on the mobile, etc. This.. i have my own Recliner Sofa with my superb JBL sound system and most importantly my HUGE screen. :)

My Home Cinema Project

I've been thrilled ever since walking into Harvey Norman's store and just oogling at the 52 inch Pioneer Plasma TV.. and i told myself, i'm gonna get one of those for myself. But then looking at the price tag that bloody TV carries, well lets just say.. it could just shatter one's dream~ :(

But hey, who says you can't get something even bigger and better and looks even more realistic.

Well, thats what i did. Been saving for this moment.

I just love movies too much, and hey.. i was just thinking what better way than to have your own very cinema in your house. So i got myself a 72 inch Screen and a High Defination (HD) projector and a superb Blu-Ray player. Well here is my screen. Will be testing it later.

What was the Manufacturer Thinking??

i was just running through some stuff in my dad's workshop today. Its really amazing, what type of stuff my dad has. He just loves woodworking stuff, and i tell u, being a son to a woodwork hobbyist, i have come to learn of the many types of saws.

My dad has good collections of electrical Saws, from the hack saw to jig saw, to heaven knows what else, he also has a whole collection of the D saw, etc. I guess it keeps him busy and like what they say, when ur old, its always good to have a hobby that you can always keep urself busy.

So today, i saw something that caught my attention. There it was lying infront of my eyes. I was like.. " What??? they have such brandS? hahaha :)

Bottles to Good Use ~

A friend of mine today took this picture when she having her lunch at Pavilion. This was at the Food Court below. Very interesting, considering the fact that this piece of art was just made out of empty plastic bottles~ wow. Its simple yet dazzling. Maybe i should do something like this for my house. Very Cost saving.

Just the other day, as i was driving aroundn the neighbourhood (ahem!) well actually my mechanic was the one driving.. i was seating on the passenger seat..and as we were taking the bend, i noticed that there were some huge monkeys on the tree.

Apparently these monkeys were not concern for their safety. And there they were, cutting off those lovely branches. Non Environment-friendly primates!!

Ghost in the Office~~

Today something weird happen. I was in the office just sitting and doing my stuff, and Jenny my colleague was sitting right infront. The air cond was too cold, so i switched it off, and then out of sudden the air cond just went on. I thought tht is was just a switch problem, so i walked over and turned it off. Out of the blue, the air cond turned itself on again. So i decided to try to take a video of the incident. Would you believe it, when i turned my phone on, it didnt happen.

But finally i managed to capture a video of it. Tell me what you think of it. I think the office is haunted!! woooooooo.

The Return of The Mini Bus

Gosh the last time i saw a mini bus was like ages ago. I guess it would have been at least a good 15 years ago.. (i'm not THAT old) but yea, i would say about 10-15 years back. I would have never thought i would see the sight of the yellow bus wit commuters on it. Here i was on my way to my place in Puchong, when this bright Yellow plus Blue (hmmm...new) bus comes zooming out

I guess the same old drivers (probably on drugs) are still driving these buses. And when i say Zooming, i mean ZOOOOMINGGG. Hey! did you realise that the colors on the bus reminds you of something?? IKEA~ woo hoo.. IKEA should sue these ppl for this.

Jurassic Park - Part 4 in Pavilion

Couple of weeks back, my good ol' friends from the office decided to check out the Big Screen in Pavilion. So we walked up to the counter and asked the guy at the counter if he had sits for 16 people.. yea you heard me right 16. We dont even have that many ppl in my dept. Why the hell were we asking for 16 seats??? anyway we wanted something where the "16" of us could seat and enjoy the movie. So we did not end buying the tickets from them, as we later discovered that there were lesser ppl coming for it.

So what do bored cinema-goers do when they're bored? Well since the entire cinema surroundings were fill with posters of upcoming and now showing shows, we decided to be a little more creative. (hey we're not stupid! just lacking some attention) So we took some really cool photos with the posters. I think we did it quite tastefully. Here you see Aaron being chased by the T-REX!

Perfect Spelling

I was walking to lunch today, and i decided to take a short-cut through some back lanes of one of the hotels (again!) . You'd be surprised to see there's lots of preeety interesting things to watch. But this parking lot, grabbed most of my attention! .. "NO RARKING" What IS rarking? Anyone knows? maybe it was meant to be "NO BARKING"? :) Mind you there were quite a number of dogs around that area. Maybe the Dogs in KL can read~

Weird Signs!

You know its really funny how at sometimes our Malaysians tend to do things. I was walking down the street along Hotel Istana, and i saw this sign on the road. Gosh if i was a tourist driving along this road, boy will i be so confused. I mean how dumb can either the management of the hotel be or even the RTD (Road transport Dept a.k.a JPJ) be. They must have send someone over there to paint the road. The arrows points on both side. I can't recall seeing this in the manual when i took my road licence test!!

Our Malaysian Traffic Billboard! Very Informative

Sometimes, it really makes you wonder why we ever have this huge digital kinda traffic information screen on highways? One would think that it helps motorist to inform them of the current traffic ahead of us, or if there are any roads closed up ahead, or even if there are accidents, so that we poor motorist don't have to get caught in our stupid jams! Its already bad enough with our blue uniform friends directing traffic at hot spots.

But here, was something so informative that i have to share with you. As a matter of fact it has been the same for the last 2-3 days. Looks like the authorities are not even bothered. Looks like us Malaysians really do live up to the "Tidak Apa" attitude!

The Ultimate Driving Machine.. NoT!!

You know how those ads that go..The Ultimate Driving Machine"? well here i was driving back from work, mind you of the horrible jams that every KLites have to endure each and everyday. So here i was in my "ultimate driving machine".. driving along the Palace Road (dont know what they call it...though i have lived my whole life in KL/PJ) And out of no where..(ok, so this lorry overtook me!) this lorry cum truck or huge tow truck just pulls over and to my surprise i saw this! Looks like Even the Ultimate Driving Machine is no different than the local cars when it comes to one thing in common; Speeding, Gosh when i looked at it, it kinda reminded me of the movie "The Transformers!" Autobots! Transform and rollout!
